Initial Consultation Agreement

INITIAL CONSULTATION & SERVICE AGREEMENT

(FOR INITIAL AND LIMITED ONGOING ADVICE WHERE A DECISION TO FORMALLY PROGRESS A VISA MATTER HAS NOT YET BEEN MADE OR COMMUNICATED TO US).

By acknowledging this document, either by signing or by replying to us by email or calling us by telephone, you acknowledge:

  • The documents “Consumer Guide” and “The Code of Conduct” are available for you to see on our website.

  • This is an initial consultation only but you may choose to make further contacts for advice or information to guide you towards a decision to progress your visa matters. The scope of services is limited to the initial consultation and limited further advice or information only to assist this decision to progress a visa matter.

  • The information/advice supplied is only current at the date of the initial consultation or any further advice or information that may be given as migration law is subject to change and that the advice is based on the facts supplied to us at the time. We accept no responsibility for subsequent changes which affect our advice or its application in your case.

  • You acknowledge that the consultation or initial advice we give will not be sufficient on its own for you to progress and finalise any visa matter. It is intended to guide you towards commencing a visa matter. It is important that any subsequent visa matter must be progressed under full advice and with a comprehensive re-assessment prior to making an application. There should be full management of the visa matter leading towards a Decision by the Decision-maker. The advice or information we provide to you at this stage and prior to us having a comprehensive new Agreement between you and us, if that occurs, will not be sufficient nor complete enough to rely on for the visa matter.

  • We are providing the advice or information based on brief information you have given us. Our advice can only be appropriate for your situation if you have given us accurate information. This initial advice will be insufficient for you to progress a matter to application or Decision. It is intended as a guide only to assist you to understand options and processes leading to a decision to commence.  

  • You consent to us acting on your behalf. You consent to us accessing your visa details in VEVO and you understand the purpose is to confirm your visa status and includes personal details.

  • The immigration assistance being provided, and this agreement ceases on cancellation by either party or you choosing not to proceed with us.

  • Given the informal status of any business relationship that may be deemed to exist between us by virtue of you contacting us, and the unverified information you have given us, you accept our advice and information on that basis and we take no responsibility for how you may apply that information. You accept this and agree that you will make no claim on us as a result.

  • In the event you wish to progress to a visa application or other visa matter, you agree that this will require a new and comprehensive agreement with us.

  • If any fees are requested for a consultation, they will be clearly advised to you.

  • The visa is for entry into Australia and the laws and legislation of Australia are the relevant laws. You agree that any dispute that may arise must be through Australian processes, Courts and Authorities.
